Of Raindrops And Butterflies
Mood : happy
As the rainy season continues to pour in, the more i feel delighted. It gives me a feeling of such korean sentiment…walking under the raindrops on my way home or staring by the office window as the rain falls on it…it has been months since my last blog and everything went by like a breeze…i cant believe that i have survived a few months in my new work…i finally gave the big “R” word in my old job and restarted on my own….i took the neverending rollercoaster ride uncertain where the next loop will be… armed with my barf bag…lol  Â
Â
Â
i felt like i have been thrown in a reality show where everything is restarted….new settings, colleagues, rules and tasks…being the newbie on the block is not the “in” thing for me…not only do i describe myself as a game of cards called “solitaire”….lol… all of these first month frustrations gave me big-time butterflies in my tummy-wummy, and those toilet paper rolls were really worth it!!!
Â
ahh….finally…a pc assigned to me…the first time i saw it i knew id be its successor despite some people who tried to hog you from me…well they didnt try hard enough because in the end the final judgement said, ” it’s too powerful for you so let’s assigned to richie..” woohooo…too bad my internet was cut-off due to the stirred commotion i caused while browsing my friendster…drats!!!
Â
well there’s more to life than having an amputated internet connection and being stuck in the office all day…that’s why coffeetime with my bestfriends is an essential ritual to take a breather and blurt out all those woes and whims…but hey its not all heavy drama, lol….there’s also time for the laughs and reminiscing good times over and over again…it’s really a big help to hear all those sensible advices during coffeetime….gets rid of those butterflies….lol
Ok, So Here’s What Happened
Mood : inspired
I just got home from another job interview, same company, but this time with the engineers. Be warned again coz it might be boring for you hehe.
I came earlier to their office, 45 mins. ahead of time. So I sat at the lounge and waited anxiously, read Architecture Digest magazines and snooped a little to the people at the pantry watching a basketball game. I met Architect Berry again, really nice guy, has a very pleasing personality, he told me to wait just a little while coz the engineers were still interviewing another applicant. I got nervous again, coz the applicant was taking too much time in the conference room, I was thinking, “what are they’re talking about??”. So after the applicant left the room (with a very serious face), I knocked and stepped inside.I Said hi and hello, shook hands and sat comfortably. The two engineers were very nice, easy to talk to. They first asked me about my life here in Louisville and how did I get here, hehe. They explained to me the project that I might get invovled with. It’s a “huge” project! I was really overwhelmed by the size of it.They showed me some drawings and explained to me some details. The interview was very casual, it’s just plain talk and explanations of stuff . There were loud laughs in some instances. I had fun, actually. They asked me if I’m interested, I said, “yes, of course!”. They also told me that it’s just a temporary job, I said,” that’s alright”. Actually any job will do right now(i didn’t say this to them, of course). Then after all the questions and everything, they thanked me, we shook hands and I left the room. Before leaving, I also thanked Architect Berry and he told me that they’re(the engineers) still not finished interviewing the rest of the applicants, and I will be hearing from them, hopefully next week. After all the interviews and test, I was inspired again. Coz for the past few years, I was not “that” enthusiastic with architecture anymore and was thinking of a career change. And my Autocad program was even gathering dusts and cobwebs, coz I haven’t used it for quite some time (except the other day).If they won’t pick me, that’s alright, there’s no hard feelings…
Ok that’s it! end of my story…by the way, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!! are you wearing your green shirt today? hehe :-)
