    Mood : exhausted

It was not really a shopping ‘galore’ or that we were in a shopping frenzy mood. But its the call of necessity. We are experiencing a tremenduous heat right now and last night was the last straw. Because of this continuous sweating and dehydration , we just needed to get an airconditioner!
Living in a 1800’s Victorian house, (yes, it’s an antique) we hesitated to get an AC in the past years, because of the scare of overloading the circuits that might cause fire. We just sacrificed ourselves and let the sizzling summer heat (of the previous years) to roast our skin.
    Enough of the exaggerations.

This year’s summer was even ‘hotter’ than the previous year, and we just couldn’t handle the heat any more. The ‘call of AC’ has been in our minds for days and after analyzing and thinking of ways to keep the house safe from circuit overload, we found ourselves driving to the nearest 24 hour Walmart and bought that resonably priced AC.

It was already past midnight. We went straight to the AC section and got what we wanted. And anxiously went home.

Installing the AC should not be that hard. But because of our tired condition plus the over powering humidity, it took us hours to finally get it installed and ready for its main purpose. I was silently praying before pressing the ‘on’ button, still scared of what might happened next.
    Kudos to us! it worked!

And after pausing for a while to smell that first burst of cool air with that new ‘electronic’ aroma, we headed straight to bed and snooze…it’s 4:30 a.m.!

To Cook Or Not To Cook…

    Mood : hot and sweaty

    That is the question…

As I sip my cold ‘fierce berry’ flavored Gatorade, just trying to keep myself cool and to slowly replace the ‘electrolytes’ that my body lost because of this dreaded heat and humidity…I just have to stop and write something for my blog.

For the past couple of days, I’ve been slaving myself to a hot ‘microwave’ oven. Which by the way, is a joke of Kit and I. I love cooking so don’t get me wrong, it’s just that this hot and humid weather we have right now is ’slowing’ me down — really, don’t wanna stay in the kitchen for a long time. The solution? TV Dinners! LOL. Those high sodium, over caloried dinner-in-a-box could sometimes be a good idea…but not all the time.

So, it’s that time of the week again that I need to do my ‘wifely’ duties…Doing the grocery list! I’m not complaining ok, its just that its hard for me sometimes. Its a complicated process using calculations and tons of research for easy recipes. LOL. I might be over exaggerating here. But cooking is a serious thing for me (for most of the time). Budgeting and planning a healthy meal (at least) are one of the things that I must consider, so I have to be precise but not ‘really’ perfect.

But a wife’s got to do what a wife’s got to do, so on to today’s agenda. LOL.
