At last, a new addition to the ever growing ‘version’ collections of the ccastardust website.

LOL

Presenting version 23: UFH – Unidentified Flying Hodakas. (If you’re on the site now and still viewing the older version, look on the sidebar that says ‘theme switcher’, click the dropdown menu and choose v23!)

I was in a web designing frenzy mood this weekend and thought that now is the right time to have a new version. It took me several hours to finish the design. Searching on the web on what pictures to use. I finally found what i’ve been looking for, credits to Kelly M. of the picture of Tommy Croft on his Hodaka. You can view the original picture here,I had to blend it on my design. And another credit given to Siege, coz I used his Hodaka Saucers. You can view the orginal picture here, it’s a portion of his shirt design, I had to crop it and blend it on my design.

Version 23 is dedicated to the passing of the great Jim Pomeroy“The First American”

Talking about versions, a new version was also added to the 750 Connection site. It’s now on it’s version 15: ‘Sea Of Tranquility’ (Again, if you’re on the site and viewing the older version because of your cookies, look on the sidebar that says ‘theme switcher’, click the dropdown menu and choose v15! and voila! a new theme has been loaded.)

I’m on a roll! CCA Stardust Cafe is now up and running again! I’ve just transferred my subdomain to my new host, ‘Site 5‘. You can now view my collection of recipes and even share yours!

Whew! enough of that, now I have to stay calm and relax.Comments and suggestions are always appreciated :-)

Happy Hodaka Days!

This entry should be posted several weeks ago, but due to my busy skeds, this is the only time I got to post it.

Happy Hodaka Days? What’s that? First of all Hodaka is a vintage motorcross bike (Kit has one – Hodaka Super Combat). Hodaka days is the event that Kit and I attended on July 28-30, 2006, it was coincided with the Vintage Motorcycle Days, held in Mid Ohio Race track.

We had a great time camping, even though I forgot to bring the camping stove! Yeah, I forgot to bring one of the most important gadgets that we need…I even forgot the pot to heat water! Thanks to our camping neighbors who were always there to give us a helping hand.

It was a trip from hell! on our way there we were bombarded by a storm, by a ridiculous traffic in Columbus (and I thought that Louisville has the craziest drivers) that almost ended in a collision accident. But after that, Murphy’s law never failed us…Kit’s bike won’t start! It’s like it has a gremlin or something…it just won’t start!

Kit has been waiting for this for a long time. He thought that he could race again, but his Hodaka Super Combat failed him :-(

But aside from all the mess we were in, we still managed to have a great time.

We took tons of photos and document the events with our trusty handycam.

Those three camping days were an advance gift for me, I was itching to go camping! (even thought Kit won’t believe me,hehe). I was also extra happy because Siege was there, he’s a motorcycle enthusiast and at the same time an artist, he makes real cool vintage shirts design. Kit got me 2 shirts, something that I really wanted for a long time…at last a Hodaka vintage shirt!…Really, awesome birthday gifts!

And then on our way home, Murhpy’s law striked back! There’s a a big gap on the interstate highway because of road construction, that we had to make a ridiculous detour. That detour almost got us lost! It’s like we just went on a circle…what a waste of gas! But i’m glad we got home safe. We were exhausted! took a shower then went straight to bed.
