“My mechanic failed me.”
That’s Kit referring to me as his so-called mechanic. He wasn’t able to race again due to (Hodaka’s) engine failure. That engine has been shrouded with anomalies. We just couldn’t figure out why it won’t start! It’ll be shipped soon to Missouri to get diagnosed. But then again, bike or no bike we still went for the Nationals.

“Double checking is always a good thing”
Especially when you’re gonna go camping. So before hitting the asphalts double check everything! And this time I didn’t forget to bring the necessities: like umm, camping stove and cooking pots, woohoo!Kit was very pleased, hehe.

Kit and I had this 3-day (well, 2-days to be exact, all because of me, errr) get-a-way to Casey, Illinois to attend the AHRMA Nationals (motocross). The weather was perfect for camping and racing. Sunny (but not too hot) with cool blustery winds, its almost like autumn minus the colored foliage. Night time is an added treat, after the sun retired for the day all the stars started to show up like gems on the clear night skies, while the dancing fireflies twinkled their way along the fields. It’s just perfect!

“Watch out for dirt devils!”
Clouds of dirt rose from the ground all day long during the race. Even the smallest crevices of our bodies couldn’t get away from the creeping dirt. We got really dirty! But it was fun.

“What?No shower rooms!!!”
It’s a good thing it’s not a one week event. Cleaning with damp towels freshened us up but of course a shower would be better!

We all had a great time. Even though it was a very exhilarating week, it’s still a break that we needed away from work and the busy city. We hit the shower the moment we came home and snoozed.
